Reverend David Tyson CSC

Rev. David Tyson, CSC, graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Sociology in 1970 and was ordained as a priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross in 1975.  At Notre Dame he earned an M.Th. in Theology in 1974; and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University in 1980. He has served as Provincial Superior since 2003. Prior to serving in Provincial Administration, Father Tyson worked in administration for Holy Cross’ universities. He served as President of the University of Portland from 1990-2003; Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Notre Dame from 1984-1990; Executive Assistant to the President at Notre Dame from 1982-84; and Director of Sophomore Year of Studies for Notre Dame’s college of Business Administration from 1980-82.
