Reverend James Lackenmier CSC

Rev. James Lackenmier, CSC, was ordained as a Congregation of Holy Cross priest in1964. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Stonehill College; an S.T.L. from Pontifical Gregorian University Rome; an M.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and a Master of Arts in English Literature at the University of Chicago. Father Lackenmier has taught high school in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He served for 25 years at King’s College, Wilkes-Bare, PA, including 18 years as president.  He formerly served as Treasurer of the Congregation of Holy Cross, Eastern Province, Inc.  Other board memberships have included the Stonehill College Board of Trustees; the University of Portland’s Board of Regents; and numerous civic and not-for-profit organizations. He is presently a Provincial Council member of the USA Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross.
