Sr. Ruth Marie Nickerson

Sr. Ruth Marie Nickerson, CSC, is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, and the Leadership Team and first councilor of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. She is a past president and chief executive officer of Saint Agnes Medical Center, Fresno, California, and past president and chief executive officer of Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, California. She is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and earned a BS in Nursing from Seattle University, Seattle, Washington, and an MS in Health Administration from the University of Colorado. She holds an MA from Catholic University and an MA in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a member of the board of trustees for Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend, Indiana; the Mt. Carmel Health System, Columbus, Ohio; and the Academy of the Holy Cross, Kensington, Maryland.
