What about Father Peyton’s Cause for Sainthood?
In Albany, New York, on June 28, 2011, the Diocesan review
of a possible medical miracle attributed to the intercession of Father Peyton was concluded with the celebration of the Eucharist, and the tribunal has forwarded their findings to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints at the Vatican in Rome.
While the details of the possible miracle cannot be made public at this point, the subject’s family prayed to Father Peyton, and they strongly felt that he was healed through intercessory prayer. The medical community has offered information to support this belief.
Once a miracle is attributed to the intercession of a sainthood candidate, the candidate is declared “Blessed.” All present were urged to pray for the success of Father Peyton’s cause.
