Not only was Luke's acceptance speech eloquent, his press conference after receiving the award was professional and poised. Check it out as this is the first of many press conferences as he embarks on his career in film: Luke's Press Conference >>

Saturday, the evening before the Oscars, Angelus Student Film Festival hosted a celebratory party at Family Theater Productions in Hollywood for Luke Matheny, his crew and Angelus alum. Also present at the event was Luke’s mother, Dianne Matheny. Luke shared with the group that he felt the gathering was the most meaningful part of the weekend for him as he had the people who loved him and supported him in the same room. Angelus Alum on hand were Joey Jones (The Little Red Plane - 2003), Greg Helvey (Kavi - 2009), John Patton Ford (Patrol - 2009), and Harry Kellerman (The Little Gorilla - 2007).

On Sunday evening, Dianne Matheny joined Father Willy Raymond, CSC, Terry Samundra, (Kunjo - 2010) and other Family Theater Productions staff and friends for the broadcast of the Oscars and celebrated Luke’s achievement together.
