Carl Kozlowski makes ‘em laugh at Prayer & Pasta

CarlPrayer & Pasta could have been renamed Laughs & Guffaws on Oct. 17. Humorist Carl Kozlowski, crowned “America’s Funniest Columnist” by the official Laugh Factory competition, got everyone chuckling with his unique observations on life. He has performed a few times at Prayer & Pasta and has worked with comedian Tim Conway to raise funds for Catholic Charities.

Following our holy hour of prayer and a simple meal, Carl had everyone in stitches as he regaled us with new material. His performance was recorded for use in a CD that will be used to help him land a deal for a 20-city tour of Catholic youth conferences sponsored by the University of Steubenville. Carl also hopes to sell the CD on Catholic websites. If the recording is a success, he plans to donate 20 percent of sales to Family Theater’s ministry!

Carl is the co-founder of and host of its shows “The Koz Effect” and “Kozversations.” He is also entertainment correspondent and a booker for radio show “Grand Theft Audio.” He is also the author of “Seize the Day Job! The Humor Book Al-Qaeda Kept You from Reading” and writes a regular blog, which can be found at

Prayer & Pasta meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at Family Theater. More than 9,100 people have participated in these celebrations since they began in 2003.
