Father Willy and the L.A. Dodgers

Father Willy Raymond, CSC, was at Dodger Stadium for opening day with the Los Angeles ball club in April. No, he wasn’t there to just take in the game, though he did enjoy watching some baseball. Father Willy was there to lead a season-opening Mass for the players.
In addition to being National Director of Family Theater Productions, Father Willy is the official chaplain for the Dodgers and leads Mass at the ballpark when the team is at home. The service is regularly attended by players from both teams, as well as Vin Scully, who has broadcast Dodgers games on radio and television for 64 years.
While Father Willy lives in LA and roots for the Dodgers, he was raised in New England and still considers the Boston Red Sox his “hometown” team!
