Students in Ghana Pray Together and Create a Catholic Community for Support

On Januaghanary 28, the Feast of Saint Thomas Aquinas, our mission staff in Ghana conducted their annual program for Catholic Students Unions in schools at Bogosu in the Western Region of Ghana. The goal of the program is to bring the students together for prayer, but also create an ongoing Catholic community to support the students as they continue to pray together. This year’s CATHSU Day gathered more than 800 students. The program consisted of Rosary prayer led by the students and a talk on the theme, “Saint Thomas Aquinas and his beloved Queen and Mediatrix.” The talk was given by Brother Patrick K. Baah, CSC. Following the talk the students gathered in small groups to share their ghanafaith and get to know each other and the day ended with the celebration of the Eucharist and a social gathering.
