Our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, announced he will retire from his 8-year Papal reign on February 28, due to age and declining health.
"I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry,” as stated in the Holy Father’s address from Vatican City.
During this significant transition for our Holy Father and for our Church, let us gather as a worldwide community in prayer. To post your petition, http://www.familyrosary.org/en/Prayer/PrayerRequests.aspx
"And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer." Pope Benedict’s closing words. Let us put our Church in the hands of Our Lord and his Mother Mary with Rosary prayer.
