Nearly 100 Brazilians, members of the prayer group Praise and Glory, gathered at The Father Peyton Center for a two-day program of prayer and music. They were joined by Dunga, a well-known television personality from Brazil who is a regular on the show, Cancao Nova
“It was sweltering hot weather, but it did not deter these joyful young people,” said Father Leo Polselli, CSC, Chaplain at The Father Peyton Center.
“Their spirit was amazing right up until the end on Sunday evening when the Blessed Sacrament was passed among the outstretched arms and hands of the faithful, who like the women of the Gospel that very Sunday, reached out to touch Christ.”
The entrance to the chapel was converted into a reception area, and breakfast nook and a food tent was set up on the lawn outside for meals, for breaks and just to gather. Child care was set up with cribs and playpens for the youngest children and a play area was set up for the older children, all managed by a volunteer husband and wife team. A clown was in attendance to entertain the children.
The group is already planning their next event. For information on upcoming events at The Father Peyton Center see below. Go to: www.FamilyRosary.org/Events
