Mission staff have reached out to thousands of children by visiting grade schools to teach the children about prayer, especially the Rosary. Each child receives a Rosary and is encouraged to pray it daily. The children were so enthusiastic about receiving a Rosary. More than 3,000 children participated in 5 Children’s Rosary Rallies in 2011.
In addition to the rallies, the mission team has organized events for street children in Nairobi, Kenya. At City Park, the children heard a talk on “God’s Love,” prayed the Rosary, received a warm lunch and then participated in sporting activities.
Many other activities are ongoing throughout the year for children throughout East Africa.
