"I fight for the Rosary not as a fanatic or a lunatic, but with the knowledge that if I have Mary’s hand knocking with mine, if I have her eyes searching with mine, then the door will open and we will find what we need. God cannot take that lightly. And she would not be human if she did not help us when we ask."
Father Pat, 1977

The project was launched last August 6 at the Guadalupe Chapel of the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy led by the Fr. Peyton Guild Divine Mercy Chapter.

The program began with the rosary at 7 in the morning followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 7:30AM.  As a transitional activity, a procession from the main church to the Guadalupe Chapel led the crowd back to the exhibit area.  Fr. Rey San Juan, Parochial Vicar welcomed the guests and recounted how the family rosary helped him through a difficult time of his mother’s sickness. Mr. Lito and Mrs. Lilia Concepcion then led the Ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

As an Anniversary Project, the Divine Mercy Chapter simultaneously launched the FAMILY ROSARY MOVEMENT, wherein a family welcomes the image Our Lady of Fatima into their home and prays the family rosary for one week. Pippo Buenaventura introduced the project to the guests.

The Opening Ceremony culminated with the viewing of a 12-minute video about Fr. Peyton and the Family Theater Production of the SECRET OF THE HORSE. Throughout the exhibit week, the rosary will be prayed every hour, using Family Rosary Crusade audio with Fr. Peyton’s meditations and excerpt showing the corresponding Mystery from the film The Life of Christ as well as a video presentation about Fr. Peyton.

Brochures about the Cause of Canonization, the Fr. Peyton Guild and copies of the local newsletter Rosary Link will be distributed to all exhibit guests.  To maximize reach of the exhibit, a procession will be held after each Mass to the exhibit area.

The Roving Photo Exhibit will be moved to the Family Rosary Crusade’s main office at Pope Pius XII Catholic Center on September 3 to 10, 2005. After which it will be transferred to the respective parish of the Chapter celebrating its anniversary.
