Christmas Celebration in Manila
December 20, 2005
Family Rosary International: PhilippinesRecently in the Philippines, seminarian Ronald Manabat and his friends had a party for the street kids of Manila . The event included a luncheon for the children where many people assisted with the cooking, serving and cleanup.
Each child that attended this event was given a gift from Santa Claus (Santo Nino) which they opened and brought home to their familes.
A Mass was celebrated focusing on the birth of Jesus. During the Mass, the children learned about the birth of Jesus at the first Christmas celebrated in Bethlehem.
Ronald has a long history with Family Rosary Crusade. He received his vocational call while watching Family Rosary programs as a child, very similiar to the one he now prepares for the children in his area of Manila.
