Family Rosary Representative, Juan Martín Portugal Valenzuela, Wins First-Place in 23rd World Festival of Marian Music

With the desire to strengthen the spiritual life of Catholic musicians, Family Rosary Peru sent singer songwriter Juan Martín Portugal Valenzuela, to represent the organization in the 23rd World Festival of Marian Music celebrated from March 1 to 5. Presenting his composition, "The song of the one who follows your Son," Martín was selected, by a panel of judges who are musicians and composers, "Best Singer Songwriter in Spanish" and was awarded first place in the World Festival.;)
Singers and songwriters from 14 different countries competed in this event. The other winners were Panama second place, Canada third, Guatemala fourth and Honduras fifth. Approximately 7,000 people attended the 20th International Catholic Fair celebrated in the Industrial Park of Guatemala City where church leaders, members of different religious congregations and families from all around the country gathered to support the contestants. The event took place on Saturday, March 3, with Omar Castañeda and Anabella de Coronado as the masters of ceremony.Juan Martín Portugal Valenzuela came to represent his country at the World Festival by becoming the winner of the 6th Festival of Marian Music in Peru.
