… A Minute Meditation

October 23, 2009

Teenaged children do not always understand the reason for parental decisions and complain about them.  We know we cannot put old heads on young shoulders so parents remain firm and hope their children will one day appreciate what they cannot understand now.  For loving parents want what is best for their children.  They also want their children’s love and understanding.  Christ tells us that God does too:  “God wants those who worship him in spirit and in truth.”  He told the woman at the well.

Christ also told us how God wants us to worship Him.  “When you pray,” He said, you are to say “Our Father.”  We are to pray to God with the love and confidence of little children who turn to their parents for everything and whose trust is so complete that they even fall asleep in their parent’s arms.
